Context

A benchmark in car parts distribution

Caetano Parts is part of the Salvador Caetano Group and is responsible for distributing original parts for the brands marketed by Caetano Retail. With two distribution centers in Portugal, the company handles stock worth 7 million euros and makes around 40,000 deliveries a month.

To ensure fast and accurate operations, Caetano Parts needed an intelligent and agile solution that would eliminate manual processes and improve order traceability.

Challenge

Complete visibility of thousands of deliveries per month

With the need to manage a high number of monthly orders and ensure excellence in service, Caetano Parts was faced with operational challenges that compromised its efficiency. The manual recording of transport services, for example, not only duplicated information, but also added around 50 seconds to each order, which overloaded the team and negatively impacted productivity.

In addition, the use of multiple carrier platforms made it difficult to train employees, and also increased the likelihood of error, compromising the accuracy of orders. The lack of integration between the various platforms also made it difficult to obtain information on the status of shipments, delaying the response to customer requests and increasing the risk of failures in the logistics process.

The lack of efficient internal traceability made it difficult to confirm that all parts were correctly included in the volumes shipped. These problems not only generated rework, but also affected the quality of service and the customer experience, making it essential to implement a more effective and integrated solution.

Total integration for an efficient logistics process

To meet these challenges, Softingal developed an integration solution that connected all of Caetano Parts’ essential systems, including the platforms of the various carriers, automating and simplifying the logistics process.

  • The registration of transport services is now done automatically, eliminating the manual entry of shipping data.
  • The solution integrates directly with the platforms of all external carriers, centralizing information in a single interface.
  • Transport statuses have been standardized across all connected platforms, allowing the customer service team to access clear, unified information.
  • SLAs and delivery times are now monitored centrally, giving the client greater control over logistics performance and making it easier to identify improvements.
  • Each volume is now identified and tracked in an integrated manner, ensuring that all parts shipped are correctly recorded and monitored along the way.
  • Integration with the client’s portal allows each order to be tracked from the moment it leaves the warehouse until final delivery, all from a single platform.
