Context
Caetano Parts is part of the Salvador Caetano Group and is responsible for distributing original parts for the brands marketed by Caetano Retail. With two distribution centers in Portugal, the company handles stock worth 7 million euros and makes around 40,000 deliveries a month.
To ensure fast and accurate operations, Caetano Parts needed an intelligent and agile solution that would eliminate manual processes and improve order traceability.
Challenge
Complete visibility of thousands of deliveries per month
Caetano Parts faced significant challenges in managing orders, which took up more time and effort than ideal, impacting on the team’s productivity and the quality of customer service. The manual recording of transportation services duplicated information and added around 50 seconds to each order, increasing the operational burden.
In addition, the need to use multiple carrier platforms made training more complex and prone to errors, and manual data entry compromised the accuracy of orders and caused rework.
The lack of integration also made it difficult to track orders. The customer support team needed more time to obtain scattered information about shipments, which delayed resolutions.
In addition, the lack of internal traceability made it difficult to confirm that each part was correctly included in the volumes shipped, increasing the risk of failures in the logistics process. These factors highlighted the need for a more efficient and integrated solution to optimize order management and improve the customer experience.
Solution
Total integration for an efficient logistics process
To meet these challenges, Softingal developed an integration solution that connected Caetano Parts‘ essential systems, automating and simplifying the logistics process.
- Transport services are now registered automatically, eliminating the need to enter shipping data manually. Orders are now processed quickly and without errors, ensuring greater efficiency.
- Transport statuses have been standardized, allowing the customer service team to access clearer information and respond more quickly to customer requests.
- Each package is now identified and tracked in an integrated way, ensuring that all parts included in the shipment are correctly recorded and monitored along the way.
- Integration with the customer portal allows each order to be tracked from the time it leaves the warehouse until final delivery, without the need to consult several platforms.

With this solution, processes have become faster, safer and fully traceable. It is now possible to guarantee that each parcel arrives at its destination with the correct information, minimizing errors and maximizing operational efficiency.
